Classification of matter by Ben Dottavio
This storyboard does not have a description.
Hello kids, I am going to teach you about elements, compounds, and molecules.
An element is a material that is made of one kind of atom. One element is Iron (Fe), which is the material used to make that bridge.
A compound is a pure substance composed of two or more elements that are chemically bonded. For example this water (H2O) has two kinds of atoms. Hydrogen and oxygen.
A molecule is a group of two or more atoms together by chemical bonds. A type of molecule is Nitrogen (N2) makes up over half of the earths atmosphere.
Something you should remember is that every compound is a molecule but not every molecule is a compound.
Congratulations, you learned about classification of matter. Goodbye kids!
