Storyboard Text

  • This cork looks like it as individual cells in it, in a noticeable honeycomb form.
  • The First Cell Discovery by Robert Hooke
  • Nucleas of Plant Cell Discovered by Botanist Robert Brown
  • In these plant cells, each cell has a part called the nucleas.
  • Matthias Schleiden; co- founder of Cell Theory
  • After frequently studying plants under the microscope, I have concluded plants are made up of cells that contain nuclei.
  • Theodor Schwann developed the cell theory stating all animals and plants are composed of cells.
  • Schleiden and Schwann discuss their ideas to develop the cell theory. After both communicate findings of cells in animals and plants, it is concluded that one or more cells make up all living things.
  • Cells come from the division of pre-exisisting cells.
  • Rudolf Virchow built off of the works of Theodor Schwann, and contributed to the cell theory. He eventually was one of the first to accept the works of Robert Remak who showed the origin of cells.
