  • Violations of Neutrality
  • Embargo Act
  • Non-Intercourse act
  • After The United States declared neutrality, France and Britain searched ships and captured and forced people on the ships to work on their ships
  • Burning of Washington
  • When Britain and France wouldn't stop interfering with shipping and trade, America put the Embargo Act into affect which stopped trade with foreign countries.
  • American Pride
  • Once the Embargo act was in effect,  The U.S. wasn't doing well since they relied mostly on trade for goods. So they released the Non-Intercourse act  that let them trade with anyone but Britain and France
  • Manufacturing
  • During the war, Britain captured the Whitehouse briefly. While they were there they burned the Whitehouse.
  • After the war, american pride surged
  • After the war, America started manufacting more since during the war they couldn't trade so they had to manufacture.
