Since we were in Wisconsin, doesn't that mean that we're now free people?
I can't believe our master still kept us! I'm going to take this to the Supreme Court!
The Supreme Court?!
I wonder what I should do...?
...And because I lived in free states and territories for many months before I was brought back, I believe that my wife and I are now free slaves!
At the Supreme Court...
The Supreme Court of the United States, in the case Scott v. Sandford, rules that Mr. Dred Scott and his wife are to remain slaves. Since slaves are not citizens, Mr. Scott is not allowed to bring suit in a federal court.
Also, the Founding Fathers never intended for black people to become citizens. Just because in some states free slaves are allowed to vote does not give you the right to be citizens!
I'm letting you two be free because you have caused so much uproar within the states that I think you deserve it...have a nice life.
