  • A chemical change is when the change of their chemical properties, for an example the formation of rust on iron.
  • Rusting is a chemical change because two substance reacting together is making a new substance.
  • So when it rains oxygen and water are mixing together if something metal is left out then it turns into rust.
  • For example this nail was left out here while it rained and it turned into rust.
  • This is why the change of color and  into rust is a chemical change.
  • So if you don't want your stuff to be rusted don't leave it outside.
