Demeter, the goddess of agriculture, is given a beautiful daughter from Zeus named Persephone who was able to make new kinds of flowers and name them.

Persephone is walking in the garden and finds a strange bush and decides to pull it out of the ground and is then snatched by Hades and taken to the underworld. Demeter is devastated and will do anything to get her back.
Abyss / Temptation and Transformation
Demeter is faced with the task of bringing her daughter home and must bargain with Zeus. Meanwhile, in the underworld, Persephone is struggling to not enjoy the attention and gifts Hades has given her. Hades wants to marry persephone and has bribed Zeus to be okay with it.
Return Home / Mastery of 2 Worlds
Demeter uses her power over agriculture to starve the people of earth and force Zeus to compromise. As long as Persephone does not eat in the underworld she is allowed to return home.
Persephone is tempted by a pomegranate presented to her by the boy her mom turned into a lizard and eats 6 seeds. Hermes, the messenger god, takes news of Persephone's release to Hades and Persephone is sent home.
Zeus punishes Persephone by making her spend 6 months of the year with Hades, and during those 6 months, Demeter does not allow stuff to grow, thus winter and summer
