Storyboard Text

  • Matilda and Ms. Honey are at her house. Matilda is shocked afterseeing Ms. Honey’s terrible living conditions.
  • 4.Well, that goes a long way back. May I tell you a story?
  • 2.Not too badly. I get about the same as others.
  • 1.Miss Honey, may I ask a question? Do they pay you very badly atschool?
  • 3.Then why are you so dreadfully poor?
  • Matilda and Ms. Honey are sitting on boxes in Ms. Honey’s housewith cup of tea in their hands.
  • When I was about two years old, my mother passed away so my dad called upon my aunt to live with us. My aunt used to exploit me and I coulddo nothing about it. Then, when I was six, my dad mysteriously passed away too. My aunt soon took over my house illegally and she started exploiting me even more…
  • Matilda is shocked upon hearing this. Its late so they head back toMatilda’s home. In front of Matilda’s house, she asks Ms. Honey about the nick-names of the members of the family.

  • My aunt takes up all my money and gives me only a pound permonth to spend from which I pay forty pence as the rent for this cottage.And, do you know who my aunt is?

  • Matilda comes home and takes her father’s cigar. She tries to lift and move the cigar as per her will.Finally, she is able to move the cigar freely by Wednesday.
  • The following Thursday, Ms. Trunchbull again takes the period andtests the students. Just then, a chalk lifts up by itself and things are getting written on the board.
