- Mrs. Powers, I really don't care anything about social, political, or economic issues. They don't really mean anything to me. They're too big, and there is nothing I can do about them anyhow.
- Well, Caroline I know that it doesn't seem like you can do much, but in reality you can. You have freedom of speech, academic freedom, and free public education. These things can be used to your advantage.
- I understand Mrs. Powers. I feel like if I could break out of my shell, I could use my voice to speak out about my opinions and make a wave of change in the world.
- Absolutely! It is important to have a voice to improve and reform these existing institutions. It is ever changing, and it is important to adapt and overcome challenges, and encourage others to do the same.
- Yes, I agree! I think I will be looking into local groups and organizations to branch out and become connected so that my voice can be heard!
