1528 Cabeza de Vaca and several men were caught in hurricane shipwrecked on Galveston Island. they travel tribe to tribe.
1540 Coronado and thousand men went to search for the city of gold. they found the grand Canyon and the pacific ocean and explored present day Kansas but there was no gold. Coronado thought this was a failed mission and ignored Texas.
1685 La Salle meant to establish the mouth of Missippipi river but he landed at Mountin Gorden Bay. LA Salle was murder by on of the few remaining people on the back to Canada because they blamed them for hardship. Only 7 survived and made it back to Canada.
