  • There are many different types of physical activity. Resistance activities forces your body to work against an external force like dumbbells. Meanwhile flexibility activities likes stretching help your body perform everyday things.
  • All these physical activities combine to keep you healthy. Being physically, mentally, and emotionally healthy helps you decrease risk of disease, get better grades, and boost confidence.
  • It's important to not only be physically fit, but also take care of your body by getting regular checkups by medical professionals. There are some aspects of your health that are beyond your control such as a hereditary disease.
  • Make sure you maintain a weight that's healthy for your body type. Body type is hereditary and the perfect body can't be simply achieved through exercise or eating
  • Ectomorph is a body type that is characterized as a slender, slight build. People with this body type have lower body fat and smaller bones. Endomorph is a body type with a large, soft, bulging body. They have higher percent of body fat and large bones. Mesomorph is a body type with a solid muscular physique. It is characterized by a low-to-medium percentage of body fat, medium-to-large bone size, and a large amount of muscle size and mass
  • Body composition describes the percentages of fat, bone, muscle, and water in your body. A healthy body composition is one that includes a lower percentage of body fat and a higher percentage of fat-free mass. Your caloric balance effects your body composition so its important to eat healthy and exercise. Make sure while you do exercise, you avoid injury such as muscle strains and blisters. You can do this by having periods to cool off and warm up while exercising. It's also important to have the right equipment. If you do get injured, follow RICE to ensure safe recovery.Source: Module 5
