In this scene Buck and Spitz have their first fight. They have their first fight over a rabbit. This tells me that Buck was adapting because he was able to kill Spitz. Some evidence is on chapeter 3 page 26 which says "a snarl warning told him that the tressapaser was Spitz".
In this scene Buck had killed Spitz over a argument. Eventually Buck ended up killing Spitz. On chapter 5 it says"Despite the pain and helpfulness Spitz struggled to keep up¨, this tells me that Spitz was adapting because though he was half dead he was still determined to fight.
The Teams big Pack
I knew this was going to happen!
At this time Buck had become leader since Spitz death, at first Sollecks was the leader but Buck kept on getting infront of him, since Sollecks was afraid of Buck. Some evidence was on chapter 4 were Buck states that he wants to be leader because he had earned it. This also tells me that Sollecks wasn´t adapting because he was afraid of other dogs.
Billies smart idea
In this scene is where sadly Curly is killed by a pack of wolves because Curly was around them. The evidence is on ch. 2 pg 14 where it says ¨There face was no warning, only a leap in like flash, metallic clip of teeth, a leap out, equally swift, and Curlys face was ripped out from eye to jaw¨. This also tells me that Curly wasn´t adapting because she had gotten killed by wolves.
During this scene the teams pack fell out because it was so big. On chapter 5 pg 57 it states "half as many is to much get rid of them throw away that tent and all those dishes". This tells me they wern't used to be out in the wild because they didn't even know how much things to pack.
In this scene is where Buck was very cold, and was trying to find warmpthness. On the other hand Billie was alredy in the snow keeping himself warm. Also on chapter 2 pg 26 it says "Curled up under the snow in a snug ball, lay Billie." Finally this tells me that Bilie was adpting because he was finding his own ways to survive.
