Collaboration

Storyboard Text

  • With technology and social media, collaboration is becoming easier to do with people all over the world and socially isolated areas.
  • We are no longer limited to the walls of a classroom or school boundaries, collaborative engagement is easier than ever before
  • We were fortunate enough during this assessment to work in the same school and have face to face discussion time
  • However, we were still able to use technology to stay in contact while offsite, bridging the geographical gap.
  • There is a sense of security when working collaboratively. If we were unsure, we explored with a team mate to validate thinking or through discussion and support we were put on the right track.
  • When in doubt, teamwork it out!
  • With the uncertainty of this ever changing world and pandemic isolation, self doubt is running rife.
  • So to have a team to share our thoughts, ideas and concerns, creates a safe place to turn and feel secure and confident enough to build one's confidence in our thinking and learning.
  • We have a shared goal and we contributed as equals, seeking to understand and respond through problem solving and drawing on our research and prior knowledge
  • This collaboration has created an open learning community within our team with trust and understanding, and where mistakes are a part of learning.
  • We achieve more together and this is beneficial to our tamariki, our team, our whanau and communities.
  • In this ever changing profession it is crucial that we are not left alone to navigate the turbulent waters of this journey of teaching
