Title: The Andromeda Strain Author: Michael Crichton
The scientists have to wear protective gear to protect themselves against the Andromeda strain. But those other people weren't protected, so they all died to blood clotting. When they were cut open for examination, they did not bleed for how bad the disease was.
While working at a top secret lab means you have to got through many tests to make sure you are health. This is because if you are not healthy, you can bring in diseases to lab areas where the worse disease can be contaminated. This part of the story is mostly about the doctors going through tests to make sure they are healthy. But the story also talks about how they all try to settle into the new living area.
The scientists have to study the man they found in Piedmont. He seems to be immune to the virus that has killed everyone but two people. The odd part about this man is he doesn't have any symptoms of a disease.
The scientists have to study the man they found in Piedmont. They all put them into a special chamber so they can study further into what happened to the town. They learned that he had been taking pills that made the body more acidic. This shows that there may be a way to stop this disease. Also, the baby is healthy, but it still survived the disease.
The last part of this book told me many things about the characters, and the disease. It ended showing that you shouldn't give up, and that the virus mutated into a good virus. The part that didn't mutate is still in the lab. Stone also disabled the bomb that would have spread the bad part of the disease.
