  • The protagonist of the Maze Runner is Thomas. Thomas is a static character because he has one goal throughout the story and that is getting out of the maze. Thomas is a flat character because he didn't change a lot.
  • Symbolism
  • The antagonist of the story is Gally. Gally is a dynamic character because at first he strives with the group but when Thomas gets there he turns bad. He is a round character because he is very complicated.
  • Mood
  • CREEPY
  • The theme of the Maze Runner is never give up. This is the theme because the whole group had one goal and they never gave up on trying to escape.
  • Irony
  • We are WIKED.
  • The biggest symbol in the Maze Runner is the galde itself. The glade represents symbolism because it is used to confuse the group in the glade. The whole time the group tries to get out of the glade and maze.
  • The mood of the Maze Runner is eerie because the maze has a lot of creepy things like grievers. Also its eerie in the glade because when a person in the group gets stung as goes crazy.
  • The irony in the Maze Runner is WICKED stands for World In Catastrophe: Killzone Expiriment Department. The Glade is full of only guys and is surrounded by a maze they call The Maze. At the beginning of the story, Thomas starts in a box with no memories of himself, only his name. He ends up in the Glade.
