"hear me for my cause...believe me for mine honour, and have respect to mine honour....censure me in your wisdom, and awake your senses," Brutus wants the Roman people to hear him for Brutus himself and to hear him out for the killing Caesar.
"Had you rather Caesar were living and die all slaves, than that Caesar were dead, to live all free men?" Brutus is trying to get to the people of Rome by connecting to their lives. The servants and none royal will be affected by this ruling and Brutus is trying to reach them.
"Brutus' love to Caesar was no less than his....Not that I loved Caesar less, but that I loved Rome more. This response is Brutus explaining how he cares more about Rome and will help it in any way he can.
