Storyboard Text

  • Persephone, my daughter, I love you and as long as I have you, all the agriculture will prosper!
  • What a beautiful flower!
  • Come with me Persephone!
  • One day Demeter, the goddess of all agriculture, and her daughter Persephone were outside harvesting crops. While Harvesting the crops, Demeter told Persephone how much she loved her.
  • Now Persephone you will be my wife and live with me in the underworld forever.
  • That same day Persephone wandered into the woods and picked up a precious flower.
  • Where could she be?
  • When Persephone pulled the flower from the ground, Hades came up from the underworld and told her to be his wife.
  • Tell Hades to let Persephone go home!
  • Ok, father.
  • Persephone had no choice but to become Hades' wife.
  • Meanwhile Demeter searched everywhere for Persephone. All the sadness that Demeter felt made all the agriculture stop growing and all plants died.
  • When Zeus saw that all the agriculture had stoped growing, he sent Hermes, his son and messenger, to tell Hades to let Persephone go back to her mother. Zeus let Demeter know that Persephone had to go back to the underworld for part of every year because Persephone had eaten an underworld pomegranate. With this notification Demter became happy again and everything began to grow again.
