  • The night was dark and gloomy. The air was damp and the smell of rain still lingered in the air. Edward was taking his nightly walk along the lake with his dog Ted. He walked past the light house towards the dock and noticed something floating in the water.
  • Climax
  • Edward walked out on the dock and squinted his eyes to try to see more clearly in the dark. All of the sudden, his eyes grew large and he screamed as he realized that the thing in the water was a floating body!
  • Falling Action
  • In a panic, Edward quickly called the police. They came right away and fished the body out of the water. Then began the investigation.
  • Conclusion
  • The rain storm earlier that night mad the dirt path a bit muddy. Detective Betsy Barns noticed a trail of footprints. The police followed the footprints, which led to a small shack on the edge of the woods.
  • The Officers broke into the shack and found a man hiding with a bloody knife. The murder weapon! The man was cuffed and thrown into the back of the cop car.
  • The murderer was immediately thrown in to jail, and the case was closed.
