Hello, Prince Nathaniel. I am Princess Veronica.
This is a special family knife. It’s only able to kill people who aren’t royal. I will put it under her mattress tonight, and it will stab Veronica to death if she is not a true princess.
Once upon a time there lived a prince who was looking for a princess to marry before his 35th birthday. Everything was going good for him until one day he realized that he still didn’t have a princess, and his 35th birthday was only one week away!
No! This is what she gets for lying to you.
Then one day, without any warning, a beautiful, dark-haired woman showed up outside of the palace door. Prince Nathaniel was taken aback by her beauty. The long wait for a princess to call his own finally seemed worth it, as someone who made Nathaniel’s jaw drop straight to the floor with her impeccable looks stood right in front of him. He knew right away that she was the one. Now all he had to do was introduce Veronica to his mother, the Queen, in order to make their relationship official.
I’m sorry for your loss.
The Queen had her suspicions about Veronica, and explained that she had a way to test to see if she was a real princess or not. She went to her closet and pulled out a large, glowing box with a sacred object inside. Prince Nathaniel hesitated, but eventually caved in to the Queen’s plan, and nodded his head in agreement.
Yes, of course!
Princess Maria, will you marry me?
That night, Nathaniel and the Queen waited impatiently outside of Veronica’s door. Much to the Queen’s dismay and Nathaniel’s delight, everything sounded perfectly normal. That is, until they heard Veronica let out the loudest wail to ever come out of a human being. Nathaniel ran to her bedroom door to try and comfort her, but the Queen blocked him from the doorway.
Veronica’s burial felt surreal. This woman that Nathaniel had just met and thought that he was going to spend the rest of his life with was now going six feet under. Nathaniel then looked up to see Princess Maria, a woman who he had always heard about in the newspapers. Her eyes sparkled and her hair was so shiny and long. She looked even more beautiful in real life. The two of them began talking, and they quickly found out that both of them were single and looking to find love.
Luckily, Nathaniel still had the ring that he was going to propose to Veronica with in his pocket, so he was able to do something that he had been waiting to do ever since he was a little boy. They had both finally found the thing that they wanted the most: love. They even managed to get married before Prince Nathaniel’s 35th birthday! All thanks to the Queen’s plan, Prince Nathaniel and Princess Maria were able to find each other and live happily ever after at last.
