Storyboard Text

  • John Wikes Booth was a successful actor and a fierce Confederacy sympathizer. Because of that, he was conspired to kidnap Lincoln and hide him. But that planned failed, so they came up with a new one.
  • Since Abe Lincoln is coming to Ford's theater, it is time for us to proceed with our new plan.
  • After John Booth's death, the nine other people who helped him proceed with the plan were executed.
  • In April 14, 1865, President Abe Lincoln was assassinated
  • John Wikes Booth was not known for his successful career but how he murdered Abe Lincoln. The responsibility of restoring the South falls onto Andrew Johnson.
  • Restoring the South? Okay. Got it.
  • I shall pursue my career in acting like my brothers.
  • John was one of the ten children his mother gave birth to. He was once in the military, but promised his mother to not be in battle. So he quit.
  • Abe Lincoln's plan to restore the South didn't go as planned because of his sudden death. So reconstruction was really slow and unsteady.
  •  Whites and Negroes are different!
  • Though the slaves were free, it didn't mean that they were treated equally.
  • Booth had also performed in front of President Abe Lincoln, at the same theater, in November.
  • Bloody thou art, bloody will be thy end...
