- The Geography in the north is hotter and colder than the south were it rains and has long summers
- Norths Transportation needed better roads but had ships and canals. In the South they had trains and roads.
- The Norths economy was apart of the Industrial Revolution with the help of Francis Cabot Lowell. The Souths economy was mainly farming and slave work.
- In the North, the society was immigrants and the population grew rapidly. In the south it was whites owning African Americans and social structure.
