  • Fort Beauséjour was built in 1751. French defensive forces, numbering only 162, withstood the siege and bombardment for thirteen days before surrendering. The battle was between June 3 and June 16, 1755. This image shows the French ready for battle.
  • The Battle of Fort Duquesne was a British assault that was on September 14, 1758. It was later renamed Fort Pitt after William Pitt, the British general along with them. This fort was so important to the British because it's holder gained control of three rivers.
  • The Battle of Fort Necessity
  • This is the sixth battle of the French and Indian and it took place at Fort Necessity on May 28, 1754. This battle was the first and only battle were George Washington surrendered.It was his only military surrender.
