  • We are here today to come together as one defense.
  • It is the only way to bring peace!
  • We have decided as a nation to enter NATO and show Germany that we will not return to isolationism.
  • We must defend ourselves and create our own defense system.
  • The leaders of Great Britain, Luxemburg, the Netherlands, and Belgium met in 1948 and signed a mutual defense plan to fight against the Soviets, they invited the United States as well.
  • We all agree to sign
  • We must come together and protect what we believe.
  • The United States eventually entered the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). It raised some conflicts in American, but overall it showed many benefits.
  • The Soviets saw the formation of NATO as a direct threat and decided to meet with a group of countries to sign the Warsaw Pact signed in Warsaw.
  • Albania, Poland, Hungary, East Germany, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, and Soviet Union members all came together in a meeting in Warsaw and signed a pact of their own know as the Warsaw Pact.
