General Washington and his troops match across New Jersey to Virginia. Little did they know this was going to be there last battle of the long revolution.
At Yorktown, Virginia fighting broke out between the British and Americans. The British had German Hessians on there side. But the Americans had help from France.
On behave of the Second Continental Congress we thank you
With the Americans badly beating the British. There commander had no chose but to surrender.
Because they won the battle of Yorktown the war was over America Won! They decide to go to Nassau Hall to celebrate.
At Nassau Hall the members from the Second Continental Congress thanked General Washington.
If America didn't win the Battle of Yorktown who knows how long the war could have been.
