3 greedy Rioters are at a tavern. Soon, a man rings a bell, with a cart of a dead body. The servant tells them that it was an old friend of theirs and that Death has killed their friend. So, the three men took an oath to find and kill Death.
On the trail, an old man greets them. However, they ridicule the old man and ask him how he knows so much about Death. The old man tells them the direction where Death is.
Instead of finding Death they find shiny gold coins. In awe, they completely forget their goal of finding and killing Death. One of the men devises a plan to get the gold and tells them to wait until night. He says that two of them should stay and guard it while one goes to town and gets the group food. They draw straws, and since the youngest one picked the shortest straw he goes into town.
After the youngest Rioter leaves, the other two devise a plan to get the gold for themselves. In order to do so, they plan on killing the young one when he returns.
The youngest Rioter desires to get all the gold for himself, so he goes to the town drugstore and ask for poison that could kill animals like rats and skunks. After he buys the poison, he gets 3 bottles and puts the poison into two, and adds wine.
The two Rioters killed the youngest one. However, after doing so, they drank the bottles full of poison and die along with the youngest Rioter.
