Storyboard Text

  • Hi guys! I'm Luca Pacioli, and tonight I want to tell you a little about of my life.
  • But, we will travel in space and time to make it more fun. So, you need to pay attention.
  • I was born in Sansepolcro, Italy, in 1445. My parents are Bartolomeo Pacioli and Maddalena Nuti.
  • I never went to school, but since I was a child, I've been with craftsmen and merchants. I learned a lot about commercial mathematics.
  • When I was an adolescent, I entered to the religious order and there I had access to books.
  • I became a friar in the Franciscan Order in 1475.
  • I also wrote my very first book about arithmetic. And I started teaching maths in many universities in Italy.
