Sir Gawain Takes Challenge
I'll play the game. I'm weak and only Arthur's nephew. The loss of my life will not be important.
The Green Knight enters during the feast. He praises King Arthur and his men and tells how he comes in peace. He then poses a game and challenges a knight to participate in the game.
Sir Gawain Cuts Off Head
The Green Knight insults King Arthur's men. He calls them cowards for not taking up his game. king Arthur, out of embarrassment, takes up the challenge.
Green Knight Picks Up Head
Sir Gawain decides that he will take the challenge and play the game. He tells that he isn't worthy and is only King Arthur's nephew. He tells of how he's weak and that the loss of his life isn't important. So he plays the game.
Sir Gawain sees A Castle
Sir Gawain takes the sword and cuts off the Green Knight's head. Before doing so, the Green Knight tells that he'll receive a blow on the next New Years.
The Green Knight picks up his head and speaks to Sir Gawain. He tells Sir Gawain to meet him at the Green Chapel next New Years. On that day he'll receive a cut from the sword, as Sir Gawain cut him.
You shall meet me at the Green Chapel on the next New Years. You will receive a cut on that day.
Sir Gawain is with his horse going through the woods and sees a castle. He comes upon this castle on Christmas Eve while looking for the Green Chapel.
