After the exam was over, he noticed that some of Matthew's answers on the exam did not match what the questions were asking. But rather matched the questions on his other students' exams. The professor did notice Matthew was struggling all semester, but he had no other choice than to report Matthew to the Honor Board for further investogation.
After the investigation, Matthew was found guilty for cheating on the final exam. Which resulted not only a failure on the exam but a failure for the entire course. As well as having to complete a seperate ethics course on top of his regular classes next semester
Matthew wasn't happy about this. He knew what he did was wrong but having a failure in the course meant that all the stress and work he put in was for nothing. He should of just left the questions he didn't know blank. Although the punishment for his actions were harsh and set him back, he did learn his lesson and was determined to be a better student and avoid making the same mistake again in the future.
