  • This is tiring keeping up with all this atom stuff!
  • Niels Bohr was born on October 7th, 1885 in Copenhagen, Denmark. In 1913, he discovered that electrons only go around in orbits around the nucleus of the atom. He died on November 18th, 1962.

  • Erwin Schrodinger was born on August 12th, 1887 in Vienna, Austria-Hungary. In 1926, he used mathematical equations to describe the chance that an electron would be found at a position. This lead to the discovery of the electron cloud. he died on January 4th, 1961.
  • Now there's an electron cloud?
  • X1*0.9018413/174931= % chance of finding electron at a given position

  • James Chadwick was born on October 20th, 1891 in Bollington, England. In 1932 he did an experiment in which he hit beryllium atoms with alpha particles and found that radiation was produced. He then realized that a neutrally charged particle had to be in the atom with caused the discovery of the neutron. He died on July 24th, 1974.
