Well, I think the sacrament of Holy Communion is important for everyone! It celebrates Jesus' resurrection, and is the true body of Christ. It also serves as Jesus forgiving your sins. Any Christian is able to have it!
Hi Olivia! I'm doing well. You haven't been here for a while, are you going to receive communion?
I'm not sure... I feel like I don't deserve to because I haven't gone to church in a few months.
Hey Anne! How's it going?
Don't worry Olivia, they're not here to judge, only to better their relationship with God, just like you. All you have to do is walk up to the priest with your hands up, accept the communion, say "Amen", then put it in your mouth and do the Sign of the Cross. It's as simple as that to receive the symbol of the Holy Communion-- the bread that represents Christ's body.
I don't know Anne, it's kind of intimidating to walk through the middle of the church with all those people staring.
So, what do you think, Olivia? Do you feel any different?
Well, I feel lighter in a sense, now that my sins have been forgiven. I also feel closer to God, which is what I wanted from going to church. I'm think I'm going to bring some friends with me next Sunday!
