Storyboard Text

  • All men are created equal.
  • If the government gets in the way of the people’s rights, then the people have the right to change it or get rid of it and make a new government.
  • The United States became independent of the King of England.  There was no political connection to England.
  • We have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness!
  • The people deserve to be happy and feel safe.  The government is not allowing this to happen.  Therefore, we must get rid of the current government so we can get a new one that will take care of people’s rights.
  • The people asked the King to stop, but he continued to do bad things. They even asked other people who lived in England to help them but they wouldn't. So they separated from England hoping to become friends after the war was over.
