  • 1) at midnight I thought to myself. 2) Over time a got tired and began to fall asleep, when suddenly heard tapping. 3) The person, or thing, kept tapping on my chamber door. 4) I said to myself," Only a visitor knocking on my door, no more no less".
  • 4) "’Tis some visitor,” I muttered, “tapping at my chamber door— Only this and nothing more.”
  • 1) Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary
  • 3) As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
  • 2) Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore—While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
  • 4) From my books surcease of sorrow—sorrow for the lost Lenore— For the rare and radiant maiden whom the angels name Lenore— Nameless here for evermore.
  • 1) Ah, distinctly I remember it was in the bleak December
  • 2) And each separate dying ember wrought its ghost upon the floor.
  • 3) Eagerly I wished the morrow;—vainly I had sought to borrow
  • Get out you bird
  • never more
  • Get out I say once more
  • The Bird is now finally gone!
