Montag influenced by clarisse
montage grows sick
the introduction of montage is the first stage of the evolution of montage. during this stage montage is unquestioning and happy. He lives in ignorance and without care of others or what happens. Montag during this stage is just like everyone else in his world. " It was a pleasure to burn" ignorant and happy
Montag becomes student
This stage is still close to the beginning of the book but after Montag meets clarisse. During this stage montag mostly talks with Clarisse and starts to question his society. He doesnt question so much that he goes crazy. " Are you happy" curious and confused
In this stage of montag we are getting closer to the middle of the book. During this stage monta fakes being sick after stealing a book and watching a woman burn herself. After montage skips work beatty comes to visit montage and gives him a talk. "a book is like a loaded gun in the house next door. burn it. take the shot from the weapon." fearful and curious
Montag finds fulfillment
This stage is in the middle of the book. This stage in the book montag begins to read books but cant understand and decides to go talk to faber. Once he talks to faber they come up with a plan and montag reads a poem to mildrids friends. " remember the firemen are rarely necessary. The public itself stopped reading on its own accord" wanting and nervous
This stage is closer to the end of the book. This stage is where montag goes back to work and they get called in to go burn montags house. Mildrid leaves while montag burns his house then burns beatty and the hound. Then he runs to fabers house. "Old Montag wanted to fly near the sun, and now that hes burnt his damn wings he wonders why." scared and angry
This stage is at the end of the book. This stage is where montag goes into the river and follows it the a homeless intellectuals camp where he meets granger and finds a sense of purpose. Then the city gets bombed mildrid dies and montag, granger, and the others go to the city to go help rebuild it. " What have you given to the city, Montag?" fulfilled and ready
