How do I teach Alice?
Can you please teach my daughter?
Maybe I'll try it out.
I can't wait to see what I'll learn in France.
Alice Cogswell, Mason Cogswell's daughter, is deaf and has no education because there are no ASL (American Sign Language) schools in the us.
Mason Cogswell then got Thomas Hopkins Gallaudet, who recently graduated Yale, to learn and teach his daughter in ASL.
After teaching Alice, Gallaudet grew an interest for ASL, so he went on a boat to France to learn more about it.
