  • The French and Indian War was actually the French and the British fighting each other. The Native Americans were just allies on both sides. 
  • Today class, we're going to talk about the French and Indian War.
  • The French and British were fighting over the Ohio River Valley because there were many furs there, and furs were very valuable back then. 
  • At the beginning, the French looked like they would win the war. As it continued however, the British soon found victory and won the French's land. Therefore doubling the size of land they owned in the New World.
