During the sit-ins, the owners started to get violent and SNCC has started to look for other tactics. This was the beginning of the dilemma for SNCC. To fight back in violence or keep protesting non-violently

During the freedom rides movement, the bus was attacked and fire bombed by KKK members. although this might have stopped CORE from continuing, it did not stop the freedom rides movement for SNCC took over and kept the mission going.
SNCC held a meeting inside a church and white supremacists gathered outside and started to riot against the group inside. Even when the army came to protect them, they still wouldn't let them leave.

the freedom riders were thrown to jail, and in jail they still continued their non-violent protests in there. Making their voices heard and showed that they would not be stopped.
After MLK was imprisoned and wrote his letter, "Letter From Birmingham Jail." The children were influenced and made a march of their own. Bull Conor stopped the math, but went too far, spraying water at the poor chidlern and sent attack dogs to get them. It went viral and all over the country which made him antagonized, helping the black lives movement.
After much hard work, the movement got their march on Washington bringing many lives together to protest and show around the world the pain and suffering these African Americans people had to suffer through first hand. During this event John Lewis has a very empowering speech, but the one that everyone knows from that day is the "I have a dream" speech.
