#### Storyboard Text

• So I guess we are at the gym of your school to learn about the 2nd law of motion?
• Thats right Kyle. This law is when Acceleration is produced when acted on by mass. The heavier the mass of the object is, the more force is needed to move it.
• Huh. So the lighter the object the farther it will go, now I see.
• For example the tennis ball goes farther then the brick because it weights less and I am not using as much force. The brick is heavier so i need more force acting on the brick.
• Well that does make it easier. I would like to see that in action.
• Another thing to help you is a simple equation which is Acceleration x Mass = Force (A x M = F.)
• Amazing! Clark Anderson has won the car pushing race for a record weight of his car being 2,800 lbs and pushing it .5 meters a second. Tune in next time on records of the month.
• Well lets do the formula. The car was moving 5 inches a second and it weighed 2,800 lbs.
• What does this have to do with the 2nd law of motion Steve?
• So Acceleration (A) would be the 0.5 meters and 2,800 lbs would be the Mass (M). We multiply those together and end up with our force needed which is 1,400. Hope I'm not confusing you Kyle... Uh Kyle where are you?
• Do you really believe everything you see?
• This isn't doing anything?
