- Noticing all the poverty... If a man needed poison. Over there would be a man that who would sell it to you. "Apothecary".
- Come poor man, I see you're poor. I'll give you $69, for a dose of hemlock.
- Who is calling my name so loud?
- Romeo thinks that Juliet is dead, and that would give him no more reasons to live so he wants to suicide. He remembers that there is an apothecary (pharmacist) around Mantua.
- What is he thinking about?
- You're so poor and you're afraid to die? You're clothes are dirty. The world is against you. Break the law, take the money.
- I have hemlock, but I'll get the death sentence for selling illegal substances.
- The apothecary is a very poor man. Although selling poison and drugs in Mantua is a death sentence. He calls out apothecary.

- The apothecary slightly agrees with Romeo. Romeo further convince him to sell him the dose of hemlock.
- Apothecary gives him the mixture. Romeo hands the money. Saying farewell to the apothecary.
