  • The covenant is at Mount Sinai. We must retrieve it 
  • We are right behind you, Moses!
  • Oh!! It's the greatest king!!
  • Jewish history began in 1900 B.C. with Abraham and his wife, Sarah. She gave birth to Issac, who later had two sons. One of them was named Jacob, who had twelve  sons. 150 years later, things went to a dark turn.
  • SILENCE! King David has arrived
  • It's King David!!
  • In  Egypt, many Israelites were used as slaves  from 1500 B.C. to 1290 B.C. 
  • Happy Hanukkah!!
  • We won!!
  • Moses led the Israelities out of Egypt between 1290 B.C. to 1000 B.C. to  get the covenant that was formed  in Mount Sinai. Later, they headed to  Canaan, the Promised Land, where they faced many battles for the land.
  • Everyone!! Choose Herod as our next king to rule!!
  • YEAH!!

  • In 1000 B.C. the Kingdom of Israel was formed. Samuel encouraged other to select Saul as their first king to rule. David, Saul's son-in-law, ruled after Saul. He was known as the greatest king of Israel. Before  King David died, his son, Solomon was crowned to be king.
  • Between 198 B.C. to 6A.D. the Jews fought the Greeks for freedom. This battle was called the Maccabee War. They successfully beat the Greeks and they celebrated  their victory. This celebration became a holiday for Jews called Hanukkah.
  • When the Romans beat the Greeks, the Roman rule took over the Greek rule. This led the Jews losing their freedom. Herod, a man from Idumea, was chosen by the Romans to rule. In 66 A.D. a group called the Zealots fought against the Romans for the  Jews' freedom. however they were unsuccessful.
