William Tell and his son approach a caste looking for work and food.
Everyone in the village bows to a crown on top of a pole to show respect to the villages king but William chooses to ignore this and keep going.
William is caught ignoring the rules and arrested. The king has heard of William and how good of an archer he is. William is told he will be freed is he shoots an apple of his sons head. If he refuses William and his son will be killed.

William contemplates what we he will do and what to do if he fails the challenge.
The day has come and William tells his son to stay as still as possible and no matter how scared he is he should not move. The king notices that William has only brought 2 arrows with him.
William successfully hits the apples of his sons head and he and his son are released.
