  • Did you understand the new material, "The Types of Sentences"?
  • No!
  • The types of sentences are: simple, compound, complex and compound-complex.
  • OK but I need an examples.
  • An example of simple sentence is: "The surprise party was organized by John's three best friends."
  • Ohh like: " The committee decorated the court for Friday night's dance."
  • I understand, teacher I need an example of compound sentences!
  • Exactly: "I really want to go to work, but I am too tired to drive"
  • Easy: "I am counting my calories, yet I really want dessert."
  • "When he was child, Peter had many dogs"
  • Excellent work students, those are two perfect examples of complex sentences
  • "Although Juan reads comics, Luis reads novels like me"
  • Ricky I like to learn this new material, but its very hard this new lesson, also if we practice a lot will be easier. BYE!
  • Kathy that is so true my friend, but if we considered that was too hard, we can return to the teacher to have some more practice. BYE!
