  • Native Americans in the War
  • Africans in the War
  • I will grant you freedom if you fight with us in the revolution
  • During the war women helped by spying, fundraising to produce military supplies and clothing, aided through medical support or dressed as men and fought on the battlefield to deliver supplies like water.
  • Foreign Born Heroes
  • Native Americans from different tribes had sided with the British or the Americans due to what each side had to offer.
  • Espionage/Intelligence Gathering
  • Africans with which ever side they thought had more promising plan to free them
  • Battle Tactics/Weapons/Military Life
  • Foreign born heroes provided military help, diplomatic help, and engineering help
  • Spies used invisible ink, mask letters and ciphers and codes. One spy was James Amsted Lafayette who posed as an escaped slave who had spied on General Cornwallis.
  • The main weapons were muskets and pistols were rare but were used by colonials.
