Social justice is the idea that everyone should have equal and fair opportunities. When talking about this medically it means that everyone should have access to equal health care and treatments.
Today we are going to learn about social justice and Health equity
Health equity is the idea that everyone have the right to live a healthy lifestyle and healthcare without discrimination of their age, income,or education.
They are both very similar. The ideology of social justice and health equity both work together to try to make society healthier and give adequate health care to all.
I'm still having a hard time understanding of social justice.
Well a good example of social justice that you might understand is free clinics. These allow people with low income to get some sort of help.
Article 2: This article states that everyone has the right of freedom without discrimination of their religion, gender, or race. This is very similar to social justice.
Article 25: States that everyone has the right to live in safe conditions and in an healthy environment. It also goes on about how a birthing mother and her child need to be treated with the best care to protect the child. This article has some of the same ideas as health equity.
