Federigo, a well-known gentleman in Florence fell in love with a lady named Monna Giovanna.
Because of his love for Monna, he lost his wealth because of trying to impress her. and had to live at Campi where his farm was.
Monna's husband fell ill and died after a little while.
My son, I will do everything for you to get better. I will talk to him first thing in the morning.
Mother, maybe I will feel better if I could have Federigo's falcon.
Monna's only son, who became close to Federigo, fell ill, too.
Monna paid Federigo a visit. He was so overwhelmed that he served her his only possession.
I am sorry my lady. What you ate is the roasted falcon that I cooked.
I came here for the falcon.
Few days after unsuccessfully bringing home the falcon, Monna's son died. Her family advised her to get married again. She considered Federigo's love for her as she realized how much he has done for her.
