Storyboard Text

  • Manolin continue to care for the old man (Santiago). Manolin helps the old man secures food for him. Santiago tells manolin, that he will go fishing the next day.
  • After Santiago setting out to the sea, he hook a fish. The name of the fish was Marlin. The Marlin start to pull santiago along with the boat. Santiago try to be brave. Eventually, he felt tired and rested on the un-stepped mast and sail and tried not to think but only to endure. 
  • On the third day, the fish tires, and Santiago managed to pull the Marlin close enough to kill it with a harpoon thrust. The Marlin is the largest Santiago has ever seen.
  • Santiago finally defeats the Marlin, and now he must strap it to the side of the boat and sail home. While Santiago is excited by price that the Marlin will bring to the Market, he is more concerned that the people who will eat the fish unworthy of his greatness.
  • The Marlin blood have leaves a trail in the water and attract the shark. The first to attack is great mako shark, which Santiago manage to kill with a harpoon. Santiago continued fight against the scavengers is useless. 
  •  The Sharks consumed the Marlin leaving only the bones and the head. The old man returned to his Shack and start to slept.  All the townsfolk recognized him as a strong fisherman. Santiago was still sleeping and the boy Manolin watching him as he sleep soundly.
