Frodo begins his story in the Shire, a peaceful land of small folk that desire the simple things in life like good food, dancing, and when available Gandalf's fireworks.
The ring of power is found in his Uncle Bilbo’s possession and his mentor Gandalf calls him to journey to Rivendale to deliver the ring to a safer place.
Bilbo and his friend Samwise leave the Shire and journey to Bree, a human settlement. They are chased the whole way by Black Riders of Sauron.
After reaching Bree, Frodo and Samwise encounter the Ranger Aragorn who was sent to aid Frodo and Sam in their quest to reach Rivendale. On the way, they are ambushed by the Black Riders and are forced to make a stand.
Despite fighting them off, Frodo is stabbed by a cursed blade leaving him on death's doorstep.
When Frodo awakens, he is surrounded by his friends and uncle Bilbo where he feels safe and at home. Frodo gives the ring to Elrond for a short time, unprepared for the second journey to come.
