When Doodle was just five years old, I was embarrassed having a brother of that age who couldn't walk.
•The narrator is a dynamic character because he changes throughout the book. At the beginning of the story he wanted Doodle to just be normal but by the end he wanted Doodle to just be himself.
The mom in the story is a flat character. She is a flat character because she is only there for a little bit of the story and doesn't say much.
In the story The Scarlet Ibis Doodle is a static character. He may change in his ability to walk but he didn't truly change inside. He is the same doodle throughout the book.
