The hunter is trying to get food from the river. His tool is a spear, so the blade can kill the fish, so it doesn't run. Hunters don't have permanent homes.
They are gathering weat, for food, or building homes. The boy farmer is using a tool blade, to cut individual pieces of weat for food. These farmers have homes, but are not all the way permanent, they could probably live for about a month or more.
This how life improved. They now have permanent houses They can buy food, without hunting, (still some people still hunt for food) They can trade stuff. Life is Settled.
