  • The Deuce brothers (Harry, Vince, and Van) were on their typical street in New York waiting for the rain to stop. They have been homeless all their life and are barely surviving on food from the garbage and begging for money from strangers.

  • Whoah, those look good.
  • Status Quo
  • If only we could have a job like him...
  • Could you please give us a deal on your candy? 'Cause we ain't got money.
  • No get out!
  • 2. Call to Adventure
  • Starting at 1:00 p.m.
  • Auditions tomorrow!
  • Michael Jackson Impersonator Next Friday 7:00 p.m
  • HMM...
  • Interesting.
  • BACKUP DANCERS NEEDED
  • We can't dance!
  • The brothers were known as the "Three Deuces" in Brooklyn, a passive group who were disliked and avoided by many homeless people.
  • 3. Refusal Of The Call / 4. Meeting With Mentor
  • We don't even have a teacher.
  • Meet me tomorrow at the Barclays Center at 11:00 a.m.
  • The brothers cannot even afford candy.

  • Michael Jackson Impersonator Thursday 7:00 p.m
  • We need dancers!
  • They spot signs at the Barclays Center for dancers and they think it is would be a great experience and maybe a way to make some money.
  • 5. Crossing The First Threshold
  • Michael Jackson's impersonator Jonathan Bucket finds the Deuce brothers depressed and overhears their conversations. He explains to them that he can train them his dance moves to audition and perform this Thursday. He also explains that he likes to help anyone in need and will pay them if they do a reasonable job.
  • Is that actually Michael Jackson?
  • I can teach you!
  • Jonathan instructs them some of his dance moves to help them get through auditions.
  • Starting at 1:00 p.m.
  • There it is! Good work.
  • Come in.
  • They overcome their nervousness and they audition for three of eight spots on the squad.
  • I'm impressed.
  • That's good stuff.
