  • The Executive Branch makes sure people obey the law!
  • The president is the head of the Executive Branch.
  • When the president took office there was a little more than 75 post offices and an army of 672 soldiers.
  • The Executive Branch was made of three departments, Treasury, State, and War. Each was to be headed by a secretary nominated by the president.
  • Washington appointed 4 people to take the new posts and overtime they became known as the cabinet.
  • Now The Cabinet and federal agencies are responsible for the day-to-day enforcement and administration of federal laws
