I found this in chapters 7-8. This is a again and again, moment because they keep mentioning it inside the book. I think it is emphasizing the fact that Johnny might actually not make it.
Darry actually cares about me?
I found this on page 148. it is a word of the wiser because Johnny is kind of giving advice to Ponyboy. By saying stay gold ponyboy he was referring to the poem nothing gold can stay. What he means by that is, he should stay ok and not change how he is because of one major thing.
page 115 This is an example of a contrast and contradiction. It is an example of one because at the beginning of the story he loved to jump the greasers. But now he realizes there is not too much of a difference between greasers and socs and that Ponyboy was a good kid after he saved the kids in the church.
I found this on page 84. This is an aha moment because Ponyboy realizes that Darry actually cares about him. He thinks that Darry was always going hard on him because he wanted him to succeed and that maybe Darry liked him as much as he liked Sodapop.
